What is the use of Drospirenone/Ethinyl Estradiol
Drospirenone is a component in medicine for control birth and hormone replacement therapy. In mixture with ethinyl estradiol it is used as contraception, and for women who want contraception it is also approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to medicate fair acne and premenstrual dysphoric disorder.
Before Taking Drospirenone/Ethinyl Estradiol
Consult to your doctor if you are pregnant and do not take this medicine without consulting your doctor in the case of pregnancy, this medicine can result birth defects. Consult to your doctor if you forget two menstrual periods one by one. If you birth a baby recently, you should wait for at least 4 weeks before taking the birth control pills or do not take in these conditions:
raw or uninhibited high blood pressure
heart disease (coronary artery disease, uncontrolled heart valve disorder, history of heart attack, stroke, or blood clot)
a blood-clotting disorder or circulation troubles
problems with your eyes, kidneys or circulation caused by diabetes
hormone-related cancer such as breast or uterine cancer you ever had
abnormal vaginal blood loss that has not been checked by a doctor
liver sickness or liver cancer
harsh migraine headaches (with aura, lack of sensation, tiredness, or vision problems), especially if you are older than 35
jaundice caused by pregnancy or birth control pills you ever had

How should take Drospirenone/Ethinyl Estradiol
Always consult to your doctor to take Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol and take as given by your doctor.
Do not take in larger or less amount or longer than recommended.
When your periods begin, you should take this medicine on first Sunday or first day of your periods. You may need to use back-up birth control, like condoms or a spermicide, at the time of first start of medication.
Take single pill every day at same time, as per interval of 24 hours. When the pills run out, start a new pack followed by your last pack on same schedule.
7 tablets come in the 28 day birth control pack generally known as reminder pills to keep your dose regular. Your periods will commonly begin when you start the use of the reminder tablets.
During the first 3 months, you may have continuous blood loss. Consult to your doctor if your bleeding is very heavy or continues.
In the case of harsh vomiting or diarrhea, use a back-up birth control.
If you need a surgery or any medical test, your dosage may need to stop or you should be on bed rest. Consult to your doctor or surgeon who treats you about this medicine usage.
Visit your doctor regularly when you are using birth control pills.
Keep at appropriate room temperature and store it away from heat and direct light.
What happens if missing a dose of Drospirenone/Ethinyl Estradiol

If you forget to take the medicine, two your missed pill with the dose you're taking. Then keep taking your dosage as schedule.
If you forget the two pills one by one week 1 or 2, take two medicines per day one by one. Then keep taking your medicines as per the schedule. Use back-up birth control for at least 7 days following forgot medicines.
If you forget to take medicines 3 week in a row, throw the rest packet and start a fresh packet at same day in case of taking of medicine from day 1. But you are a Sunday starter, keep taking the medicine every day until Sunday. At the time of Sunday, throw the rest of pack and fresh pack that day.
If you forget to take medicines 1, 2, or3 week in a row, throw the rest packet and start a fresh packet at same day in case of taking of medicine from day 1. But you are a Sunday starter, keep taking the medicine every day until Sunday. At the time of Sunday, throw the rest of pack and fresh pack that day.
You may not have a period during the month, if you forget two or more pills. If you forget a period for two months in a row, call your doctor because you might be pregnant.
What happens if overdose of Drospirenone/Ethinyl Estradiol
Call your emergency medical facility. Overdose symptoms may include:
sickness
vomiting
vaginal bleeding
What should to avoid while taking Drospirenone/Ethinyl Estradiol
Do not smoke while taking Drospirenone/Ethinyl Estradiol. Smoking can increase your risk of:
blood clots
Heart stroke
Heart Attack These risk can caused if you smoke and especially if you are older than 35. Birth control pills will not protect you from sexually transmitted disease including HIV and AIDS. Using a condom is the only way to protect you from these diseases.

a change in the symptoms or harshness of migraine headaches
sickness, upper stomach pain, itching, loss of hunger, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes)
swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet
a breast lump
Symptoms of depression (sleep problems, weakness, tired feeling, and mood changes). Less serious Drospirenone/Ethinyl Estradiolside effects may include:
gentle sickness (especially when you first start taking this medicine), vomiting, bloating, stomach cramps
breast tenderness or swelling, nipple discharge
freckles or darkening of facial skin, increased hair growth, loss of scalp hair
changes in weight or appetite
problems with contact lenses
vaginal itching or discharge
Changes in your menstrual periods, decreased sex drive.
